TRUST
Proverbs 3:5,6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways obey him. Then he will make your paths smooth and straight.
Milo was always asking “why”. She had to understand everything. When her mom asked her to wash her hands, Milo would ask “why”. When her dad said it was time for bed, Milo would ask “why”. When A.J. would ask her to play with him, Milo would ask “why”.
One day Milo’s mom asked Milo to get ready to go out. Of course, Milo asked “why”. Milo wanted to know where they were going. Milo’s mom just told her that Milo would have to trust her and that she would find out soon enough.
Milo was a little bit worried. “Maybe Mom wants to take me to the doctor for a needle,” she thought to herself. Milo thought about it for a bit. Her mom would tell her about something like that. She could trust her mom. Her mom had never done anything to hurt Milo before.
Proverbs 3:5 and 6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways obey him. Then he will make your paths smooth and straight.”
Milo was confident that her mom was good and had her best in mind. The Bible says we can TRUST God like this too! We can be confident that God always has our best in mind even when we don’t understand what he is asking us to do. We can TRUST God.
Milo found out later that her mom and dad were taking her and A.J. out for ice cream. It was meant to be a surprise. Milo knew she could TRUST her mom!
