Word of the Day
GRACE
Romans 3:24 The free gift of God’s grace makes us right with him.
Normally Milo would be expected to eat her whole supper, especially her vegetables before she would be allowed to have dessert. Today, was a special day, however. It was the birthday of Milo and A.J.’s Grandpa. They had come over for supper and birthday cake. Everyone was ready for the cake except for Milo. She had not finished the veggies on her plate. Today, Milo’s mom made an exception and allowed her to have cake with the rest of the family.
That is GRACE! Grace is getting something that you don’t deserve. The expectation in Milo’s household was that she finish her veggies before dessert but today she received GRACE and was allowed to have cake even though she didn’t finish them.
Romans 3:24 says, “The free gift of God’s grace makes us right with him.”
GRACE is a word that is used in the Bible a lot. God showed us GRACE when he gave his Son Jesus to die for our sins even though we did not deserve it. The Bible says we were enemies of God because of our sin. Even though we were God’s enemies he gave us Jesus. That is GRACE!
Milo didn’t deserve to eat her cake that night, but she did. We don’t deserve God’s GRACE, but we have it!
