Psalm 40:4 Blessed is the person who trusts in the Lord.

“And please bless all my family, neighbors and friends. Amen!”

 

Each night Milo ended her prayers the same way. She would ask God to bless the people in her life. This is how her mom and dad taught her to pray.

​

But Milo didn’t really know what this word BLESS meant, so she asked her mom and dad to explain. They started by bringing her to this Bible verse in Psalm 40:4.

Blessed is the person who trusts in the Lord.

​

They explained that someone who is BLESSED is happy. They are not happy because everything in their life is going perfectly. No one has a life without troubles. This happiness comes from knowing that God loves them, he is with them and that everything will work out in the end because God is on their side.

​

When Milo prays that God would BLESS the people in her life, she is asking God to help them find that happiness that comes from knowing God.

​

Milo understood what her parents had explained to her. “I guess that means I am BLESSED!” she exclaimed.
