Word of the Day
RIGHTEOUS
Romans 5:19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
Milo had a spelling test at school today. She got 8 out of 10 words right. It was a good test, but not perfect.
The Bible tells us that there are no people that are fully good. We all sin sometimes. Only Jesus was perfect! He is the only one on earth who never sinned. He was RIGHTEOUS!
This means that he was completely right with God. Perfect, like a perfect spelling test.
Romans 5:19 says, “For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.”
When Adam sinned, he brought sin into the world. When Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sin, he made everyone who believes in him RIGHTEOUS. This means he made those who put their faith in Jesus right with God. We can be right like a perfect spelling test. This doesn’t mean that we never make mistakes and sin again. It just means that our faith makes us RIGHTEOUS or right with God!
Milo’s teacher helped Milo learn how to spell the two words she had got wrong. Next time she would get 100% right on the test!
