WE CAN MAKE BEAUTIFUL MUSIC TOGETHER

Romans 12:16 Live in harmony with one another.

“He started it!” Screamed Milo. “No it was her!” A.J. yelled back. Milo and A.J. were fighting again!

Their mom went into the kitchen cupboards and pulled out a wooden spoon and a pot. She took them over to the piano. With one hand she banged on the pot with the wooden spoon, and with the other she banged on the keys of the piano.

“Stop, Mom! Stop!” Yelled Milo and A.J. “That sounds terrible!” Milo and A.J.’s mom stopped, opened up her Bible and read this verse from Romans 12:16.

“Live in harmony with one another.”

Then she explained to Milo and A.J. why she made that awful music. When a song is written for different instruments to play, the parts are written so that the instruments are in harmony with one another. They work together to make beautiful sounding music.

God meant for us to live in harmony with one another. Even though we are all different, we can learn to get along with each other. When we fight we sound like that awful music that Milo and A.J.’s mom was making. We are being disobedient to God when we fight, because he tells us to live in harmony with one another in the Bible.

Milo and A.J. said that they were sorry to one another and prayed for God’s help to learn to live in harmony with each other!
