Summer Road Trip!

Day 6

daily devotional for kids

Ephesians 6:11 Put on all of God’s armor. Then you can remain strong against the devil’s evil plans.

Today was another sunny hot day so we decided to go to the beach! I built a sand- castle near the edge of the water. Only one problem. I built it so close to the water that the waves from the lake kept knocking down the wall I had built around the sand-castle.

SATTAR suggested that I gather some big rocks and make a stone wall to protect my sand-castle. So we set to work gathering stones. This stone wall was strong enough to protect my sand-castle from the waves!

Just like my stone wall protected my sand-castle, God has given us protection too. He has given us protection from the devil when he tempts us to do wrong! Ephesians 6:11 says,

“Put on all of God’s armor. Then you can remain strong against the devil’s evil plans.”

Ephesians 6 goes on to explain that God’s truth, faith and the Holy Spirit are like pieces of armor that we can wear to protect us when tempted to sin. If we are wearing God’s armor, we can say “no” to sin, do what is right and stay safe from the enemy’s attack!

I’m glad SATTAR gave me the idea to build a stone wall to protect my sand-castle. I am even more glad that God has given us armor to protect us from the devil’s schemes!
