John 1:14 The Word became a human being. He made his home with us.

I am so pumped! Milo and I get to spend a whole week at Lake Winoba Bible Camp before going back to school. Camp is so much fun. We get to hang out a whole week with our friends, swim everyday and earn badges by learning cool things about God! Each day we learn a new Bible verse. Then when we have it memorized, we can tell it to a camp counsellor. When we do, we earn a badge!

 

Today’s Bible verse is from John 1:14.

The Word became a human being. He made his home with us.

Jesus and God’s Word are one and the same. This Bible verse is talking about how Jesus came down from heaven 2,000 years ago to live with people on earth. He became human and made his home with us. He did all this because he wanted to show people what God was like. God wants us to really know him. He loves us and wants to have a relationship with us.

After today’s Bible time I rode my bike down to the beach to tell the camp counsellor the verse I had learned. And I earned my first badge of the week!
