Romans 3:22 We are made right with God by putting our faith in Jesus Christ. This happens to all who believe.

I had a fight with my friend Joely. It sure didn’t feel good. I figured she was still mad at me, so I didn’t talk to her at school. We just kind of avoided each other in the halls.

I talked to Dad about it. He said I should just go and talk to her. Work it out. So that’s what I did. I found out that she thought I was mad at her, so she was avoiding me. I thought she was mad at me and I was avoiding her. So really, neither of us was mad anymore. We just thought the other one was. I was so happy when we worked that out. It was like old times. Like nothing had ever come between us.

This is what it is like with us and God when we put our faith in Jesus.

 

Romans 3:22 says,

We are made right with God by putting our faith in Jesus Christ. This happens to all who believe. 

​

When we put our faith in Jesus, we are forgiven of all our sin. God does one step better. He makes us right with him. It is like we had never sinned in the first place. Just like there was no hard feelings between Joely and me anymore, there is nothing between us and God. That is what being “made right” means in the Bible.

I’m so glad that Joely and I are friends again. And I am really glad that God and I are friends to – thanks to Jesus!
