Hebrews 11:1 Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.

“Just have faith in me!” A.J. assured Milo. A.J. had Milo blindfolded and was leading her through the backyard to his secret fort. Milo was scared because she couldn’t see. She didn’t want to trip on something and get hurt. A.J. wanted Milo to trust in him. He wasn’t going to let her get hurt. That is faith!

The Bible says in Hebrews 11 verse 1, “Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.”

 

When it is dark in our room and we feel scared, we can be sure that God is watching over us to keep us safe because it says in the Bible that he protects us. That is faith! When we believe that Jesus died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins, we can be sure we will go to heaven one day because the Bible says so. That is faith!

Faith is simply believing that God will do what he says he will in the Bible, even if we sometimes can’t see!
